Technical question

Hoping someone can help me out here. Very often when I click on the link to someone's blog I get an Internet Explorer error message saying website cannot be opened, operation aborted. Other times, I can get to the blogs just fine.

I have Windows Vista Service Pack 1, Internet Explorer 8

Thank you!

  1. I've got friends who are pretty hardcore anti-microsoft. I've never really been that way - I usually stick to the mainstream products so that everything will be more compatible.

That being said, ie8 was a nightmare for me. It wouldn't open several mainstream sites. I've read a few articles & reviews (google "ie8 problems") and I think it has to do with increased security and less backward-compatibility. I went ahead and made the switch to Firefox and I've been pretty happy so far.

  2. Thanks Eli! I downloaded Firefox and so far so good. I'm able to access all blogs so far, and one in particular that I haven't been able to get to for weeks! I appreciate your help!

  6. Ditto, another blogger turned me on to Firefox. I'll never go back to Vista.
